Slushy Machine Operating Manual

Always tie your hair up or wear a hat. You must always wear gloves when working with food. Always smile and have fun!

START THE MACHINE AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE EVENT

PLEASE NOTE: Slushy Machines do not freeze properly in humid conditions. It is advised to position the machine in a cool area.

Mixing Ratio: 1 Part Concentrate / 4 Parts Water

Each bowl can make 50 servings / 200ml each serve

DO NOT use any ice in the machine

DO NOT use any liquid that contains pulp, seeds, etc.

DO NOT use only water!

DO NOT turn on the power until you have filled the bowls with slushie mix

DO NOT overfill the bowl. Keep within the Maximum Line as indicated on the bowl.

  1. Machine must be placed on a level and sturdy surface.
  2. Must have proper ventilation around machine when in use.
  3. Do not put machine in sunlight, direct heat or in rain.
  4. Machine must be under cover/roof/marquee at all times
  5. Pour a bottle of 2lt slush mix and 8lt of water in each bowl. That will make 10 litres. It becomes 12 litres when ice expands.
  6. Once the bowl is full. You can turn on the power.
  7. Next is to turn on the spinner and freeze mode for both bowls.
  8. You can also turn on the light, if the event is happening during the evening.
  9. If you are adding alcohol, wait for the machine to achieve a complete slush condition (slush mixture to be fully ready/frozen) before adding one bottle of 700 ml to 1 litre of alcohol of your choice.
  10. When mixture is below the minimum level, turn the slush/freezing switch off and keep it on cooling mode until all mixture is served.
  11. Remember to keep the machine topped up to maintain the icy consistency. If you leave it too late, it will cause the mixture to be watery. We recommend to top up when it drops to ¾ full.

TOO MUCH ALCOHOL WILL RESULT IN LACK OF FREEZING

TURN OFF THE MACHINE IMMEDIATELY IF CLUNKING IS HEARD OR IF LARGE CHUNKS OF ICE ARE SEEN.

EMPTYING THE SLUSHIE MACHINE:

  1. With the machine switched on, turn off the Freeze or Cooling mode. Leave the spinner on.
  2. Place a bucket under dispenser, and empty the bowl.
  3. Repeat with other bowl.

SLUSHIE MACHINE CLEANING:

  1. Do not take the machine apart.
  2. Fill each side with warm soapy water and dispense until thoroughly rinsed.
  3. With a soft cloth, wipe down all sides inside and out of the machine.

TRANSPORT INSTRUCTIONS (if picked up from the warehouse)

Just to ensure that when you arrive to pick up the machine, that you can meet the following requirements:

  • All pickups are to be made strictly in an SUV, Station Wagon, Ute or Van. Use ropes or straps to tie it in place.
  • The vehicle used to transport the machine must have sufficient boot space as the machine cannot be placed on seats and needs to be standing upright at all times.
  • That you or another person can physically lift the machine (approx. 80kg)
