Setting Up
- Place Machine on a flat, stable surface.
- Put the metal bowl on top and make sure it aligns with all the clips on the sides.
- Put the netting and clips on the bowl. The smaller the circle you place the netting around the spinner, the easier it is for the floss to stick to the sides. This will help control the floss from flying everywhere.
- Place the dome on top and make sure its secured in properly.
- Plug in machine to proper receptacle. Make sure any electrical leads do not have a trip hazard.
- Before turning on the motor switch, and with the spinner head stationary, fill floss head about 90% with sugar. DO NOT OVERFILL! Whenever you add sugar to the floss head, always fill it about 90% full. This is necessary to obtain a balanced condition in the floss head or excessive vibration will occur.
- Place a bin next to you
- Place the buckets of floss sugar and floss cones close to you.
- Wear gloves, hair is out of the way. Smile and your ready to go!
Ready to Make Fairy Floss
- Turn the motor switch to the “on” position. You should not have to turn off the motor switch until the end of the shift.
- Turn the heat switch to the “on” position
- If the floss is coming out too fast, turn off the Heat Switch and turn back on once ready. But do not do this too often as it can damage the machine.
- Do not leave sugar in the head when finished making cotton candy. Always run the sugar all the way out before turning the heat switch off.
End Of Use
- When finished making cotton candy, and with no sugar in the floss head, turn the heat off. The machine will keep spinning to cool the spinner head and auto shut off.
- Next the power switch off on the machine and on the mains power, and remove any extension cords.
- Wipe down the sides and remove any excess sugar from the bowl, pack everything away. Don’t leave anything behind!

Troubleshooting
No Floss is coming out too fast
- Turn down the heat, or turn off the heat
Floss keeps flying everywhere
- Adjust the netting and clips on the bowl. Adjust it so the netting is closer towards the spinner. This will help the floss stick to the sides.
The Floss is not coming out
- The heat has not been turned up. Turn on the heat.
- Or Crystallisation has built up. Use a long skinny object to break the crystallisation and empty the machine. eg. Chopsticks, end of the fork or spoon
The Machine is smoking
- The heat is on too high, turn it down
The machine looks like its overheating
- Turn off machine, tell customers to give you 5 minutes while you clean the machine and let the machine cool down
The machine is shaking
- There is not enough sugar in the spinner. Put more sugar in there.
- On the USA machine, there is 2 black handles on the side. Turn it so its up and down. This will release the spinner so it can bounce freely and not shake the table.
You accidentally overloaded the machine with too much sugar
- Turn the power off and carefully tip the machine upside down to empty the excess sugar.
- Or you can use a spoon to take it out.
